Most new franchise partners start by asking which product to take. A better first question is who you will sell to. A dosage form that sells easily to a paediatrician may sit untouched in a hospital pharmacy, and a range built for nursing homes is of little use to a chemist on the main market road.
This page groups PCD franchise companies by dosage form. Open a category to see the companies that offer that form, then check their product lists against the doctors and shops you already know.
Clinics and private practitioners write tablets, capsules, syrups and topical products. If your strength is GPs, physicians and paediatricians, oral forms will be most of your business. Chemists and counter sales move products patients buy again on their own, such as lubricant eye drops, probiotics, protein powders, face washes and hair oils, where margin and pack size decide the sale. Hospitals and nursing homes buy injections, IV fluids and post-operative products, and usually expect rate contracts, regular supply and credit.
Your area matters too. A district with many nursing homes can support an injectable range. A town with one busy dermatologist and an eye surgeon can carry a small derma and ophthalmic line alongside your main range. Start with two or three forms you can actually sell, and add more once the first ones are moving.
Also think about storage and transport. Tablets and capsules travel easily. Liquids are heavy and can break. IV fluids take up a lot of space, and some injections and probiotics need cool storage.
Your wholesale drug licence (Form 20B and 21B) covers allopathic tablets, capsules, liquids, injections and drops. Protein powders and many probiotics are FSSAI products. Face washes and cosmetic hair oils come under the Cosmetics Rules 2020, and Ayurvedic oils under AYUSH rules that vary by state. Before mixing forms, make sure your licences cover everything you plan to sell.
Once you have picked your forms, use the free requirement form on this page. List the dosage forms you want, the doctors or outlets you will supply, your district or state, an expected first order and your start date. Your number is not published, and only companies offering those forms in your area receive the requirement and call you back.
